[CFC Olympic Park People #5]
A 2nd-year middle school student met at the Olympic Park Plaza.
He came out holding a hand-held picket sign and clearly expressed his thoughts on liberal democracy and suffrage.
"This free Republic of Korea, founded by President Syngman Rhee, is a liberal democratic nation, but I have come to realize many things through this June 3rd election."
Using the example of a class president election, he asked:
"If the vote counts don't match, a re-election is held unconditionally, so why is the issue of suffrage—a fundamental right of the people—just overlooked?"
Finally, he said:
"This Republic of Korea is the country where our descendants will live, so I came out with the mindset that we must protect it."
The hand-held picket sign the student was holding bore the following slogans:
Destroy election fraud! Re-election!
Count the ballots cast on election day!
Let's fight against election fraud!
When candlelight gathers, the country changes! United we stand, divided we fall! Let's be strong! Let's fight! Let's win!
