As an Intuitive Healer + Holistic Wellness Mentor, one of the simplest ways I know to support lighter digestion, a happier digestive system, and an overall feeling of vitality is through the way you combine your food. 🌿
No colonics. No injectables. No extremes.
Just learning to listen to your body and understand the sacred intelligence of food.
Food combining is rooted in ancient & biblical principles. I’ve always believed that there is wisdom in returning to the basics.
✨ Remember: your issues can live in your tissues.
When you begin cleansing and nourishing the body through intentional food choices, something beautiful can happen beyond digestion. You can begin releasing what no longer serves you ~ physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Sometimes that includes cutting energetic cords with toxic people, patterns, environments, and relationships that keep you from ascending into your highest expression.
4 SIMPLE FOOD-COMBINING RULES 🌱
RULE 1: FRUIT ~ EAT IT ALONE OR LEAVE IT ALONE. 🍉
Fruit is beautifully simple and naturally cleansing.
In this video, I demonstrate eating fruit with fermented coconut yogurt, but ideally, fruit is enjoyed by itself when following traditional food-combining principles.
RULE 2: KEEP STARCHES AWAY FROM PROTEINS.
At meals, experiment with separating your starches from your protein sources rather than combining everything together.
Your digestive system may thank you.
RULE 3: DON’T CONSTANTLY SNACK.
Even something as seemingly innocent as a handful of nuts can interrupt the digestive process for some people.
Give your body a chance to finish one meal before introducing another.
RULE 4: CREATE SPACE BETWEEN MEALS.
Digestion deserves time.I use a digestion calendar as a visual reminder of the traditional food-combining approach and how different foods are believed to move through the digestive process at different rates.
Melons are traditionally considere among the quickest-digesting fruits, while denser foods take considerably longer.
Your body is a sacred vessel.
Eat with intention.
Release what no longer belongs. #Fo
