π οΈ Common Fix
If the sign-in flow was interrupted because a password reset or security-information registration was required:
Open a fresh private/incognito browser window.
Start the normal Microsoft 365 sign-in process.
Complete the required password reset or security-information registration.
Complete all verification prompts.
Retry the sign-in.
Check the newest Sign-in Log event.
Confirm successful authentication and application access.
Never ask users to share their passwords or MFA codes with IT Support.
β οΈ Important L2/L3 Tip
Do not disable MFA or broadly weaken Conditional Access just to clear Error 50125.
If the retry produces another error code, troubleshoot the newest event and new error code instead of continuing to troubleshoot 50125.
