REVEALED! Dedi Mulyadi's Reasons for Proposing Urine Testing for West Java Students
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi is proposing urine testing for all high school and vocational school students in West Java to detect drug abuse and dependence. This proposal emerged after the disclosure of a robbery case in Subang involving a perpetrator who was said to have been using drugs since grade 11 of vocational school.
Dedi stated that students suspected of dependence will be directed to rehabilitation as an early intervention. He also asked village officials, Babinsa (village supervisory officers), and Bhabinkamtibmas (community police officers) to tighten supervision of drug distribution in the community. In your opinion, is mass urine testing in schools an effective solution to prevent drug addiction among students?
