Palworld leaves Early Access on July 10, 2026, with version 1.0, the largest update in its history: 27 pages of patch notes. In this 30-second video, I'll summarize all the main changes coming to Pocketpair's game.
What's changing in Palworld with update 1.0:
— The World Tree, the region sealed behind a red barrier since January 2024, is opened and becomes the new endgame area with the game's complete story and a giant guardian waiting inside.
— The Wing Pack arrives, the new flight equipment that allows you to fly around Palpagos without using a Pal slot, along with new floating islands in the sky.
— The largest batch of new Pals to date, including a Pal that transforms into a weapon in the middle of combat.
— A new breeding system based on genetic recombination.
— True story missions, with classic map areas mechanically and visually revamped. — Tower bosses reworked to be more dynamic and challenging.
— Wildlife sanctuaries revamped: each with its own ecosystem, unique materials, and bosses.
— Overflowing sea bases and raid system.
— Comprehensive overhaul of progression, balance, and quality of life across the entire game.
Palworld version 1.0 is a free update for all existing owners and launches simultaneously on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, available on Game Pass from day one. Saved games from Early Access are retained, but Pocketpair recommends starting a new game to experience the full 1.0 experience as intended. If you don't already own the game, it's currently on pre-order on Steam.
Palworld launched in Early Access in January 2014 and became one of the biggest viral gaming phenomena of recent years. Two and a half years later, version 1.0 marks its full release.
Which of these changes makes you want to return to Palworld? Do you start a new game or continue with your current one?
