What was the world like before the rise of modern civilization?
“The World Before Us” is a documentary channel about Earth’s ancient history, vanished animals, mass extinctions, and life’s struggle to endure.
We explore the age of the dinosaurs, ancient oceans, the first land animals, giant predators, and human evolution. Each film is a journey into a lost world, built on scientific papers, museum collections, and other verifiable sources.
On the channel:
dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals;
ancient oceans and the life they held;
mass extinctions and global catastrophes;
the origin and evolution of humans;
vanished predators and megafauna;
discoveries that change how we see the past.
Modern technology and AI tools help us create cinematic reconstructions of animals, landscapes, and events that no one could have seen firsthand. Where the exact answer is still unknown, we separate scientific facts from the most likely hypotheses.
The past is gone. But its traces remain.
