We are Liedewij and Jolein, two Dutch ladies who started a rural tourism business almost 18 years ago: Agro-turismo Quinta da Fonte in the center of Portugal close to the town Figueiró dos Vinhos. We have learned lots of things about renovating and building from the Portuguese builders we worked with and meanwhile renovated several ruins into lovely decorated guest rooms and cottages. After almost 18 years we decided to make a big move and put our piece of paradise for sale to buy a new place and start from scratch. We are in the middle of buying a property close to Coimbra and Lousã, around 45 minutes up North from where we are now, to start a new project. We are buying four ruins that we want to convert into a house for ourselves and our dogs, cats and chickens and a tiny house for tourists as well as two small cottages for tourists.
