Welcome to Legacy Mode Tech.
Here, technology is history. We tell the stories of how products, formats, companies, and inventions emerged, took over the world, disappeared, or permanently changed the way we live.
Why did 3D TVs vanish? How did DVD defeat VHS? Why did Blu-ray win the format war but still never replace DVD? What happened to Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and so many other technologies that once looked like the future?
We also explore today’s technologies, always trying to understand where they came from, why they exist, and where they may be heading.
Computers, smartphones, the internet, audio, video, gaming, artificial intelligence, forgotten inventions, and million-dollar failures.
If you enjoy technology, history, and great stories behind the things we use, this channel is for you.
