"The thing about football — the important thing about football — is that it is not just about football."
- Terry Pratchett
Wecome to 'Not Just About Football'! Here, I want to explore the stories that, for better or worse, make the game what it is. The threads of its fabric. I’ll scour the spectrum of social, cultural, and political issues that have helped to shape football over the decades. I'm not an expert; I'm just interested and want to learn more. This is the start of a journey to better understand the heart and soul of the beautiful game, and it’s one I’d like to share.
