The Long Way Around

I’m Shawn, and this is The Long Way Around.

I’m a storyteller, vintage collector, reseller, and lifelong overthinker. I’m 50, and I’m still trying to figure out what the hell I’m doing.

Around here, you’ll find vintage treasures, yard sale adventures, retro collectibles, Etsy experiments, pop culture, big ideas, questionable decisions, and the occasional attempt to reinvent my life.

Sometimes I’m talking about the stuff I collect. Sometimes I’m wondering if I can retire early. Sometimes I’m dreaming about van life. Sometimes I’m just following an idea to see where it goes.

The common thread is simple: I’m curious about a lot of things, and I like turning those things into stories.

Expect honest conversations, unexpected adventures, plenty of nostalgia, and a healthy amount of “this might be a bad idea.”

If you’re figuring things out as you go too, you’re probably in the right place.

New videos and Shorts regularly.
