Shravanam Bhakti

We welcome you to our channel and thank you for connecting with us. 🙏

Our channel is named Shravanam Bhakti .

While Shravanam is basic listening on the surface, it holds deeper, multi-layered spiritual meanings depending on the context of Hindu philosophy

Shravanam means completely locking one's ears and mind onto transcendental vibrations (such as the holy name, qualities, and pastimes of God) while tuning out mundane, worldly gossip.

• The Goal: purification of consciousness.
The auditory input acts like a physical medicine that enters the ear to scrub away negative mental impressions, greed, and ego.

The classic example of Shravanam is King Parikshit from the Bhagavata Purana. Cursed to die in seven days, he sat on the banks of the Ganges and did absolutely nothing but listen to Sage Shukadeva recite spiritual truths. Through total, unblinking auditory absorption for seven straight days, he attained complete liberation (Moksha) without ever performing a physical ritual
