It's fall. How are you feeling? 🍂
As the days become darker I tend to fall into a more introspective and tender space on the inside. Autumn gives room for the unseen and time to integrate life. For me, this is when the aches of being a human surfaces.
When feeling tender, anxious or fearful, it can be hard to really drop into a supportive practice. All our mind wants is to figure things out, we might feel stuck in the head.
This week's practice is an offering to pause and shift the awareness from mind to body. To give space to feel what wan't to be felt and remember that you're not alone.
With care and presence.
Just like the seasons, everything changes with time.
You've got this 🧡

Yin & Restore with Anna Viktoria
It’s been a year since I taught my last class in Bali. I never saw it coming. I was scammed and threatened by my visa agent and forced to cancel my yin training the night before it was supposed to start. Everything I worked towards for the last 12 years was set on fire in front of my eyes, and no one could help me.
In hindsight this total life change brought me a deepening from the dark wells that I wouldn’t have been able to access without it.
It was hard! And I was in a trauma response for months, not feeling safe, not feeling like I had a choice. Stuck in survival mode. Sleepless nights and sudden anxiety attacks.
I remember my first teaching moment being back, I taught a workshop on the wood element and courage. After it, I broke down, shaking and in tears. I felt like I could never ever teach again.
So I put myself in therapy and therapeutic spaces. I sat in ceremonies. I met my fears, shadows, attachment issues, masks and hidden tricksters. It was kind of ugly and still is at times. With patience and care, earthy quiet tea time in the backyard, my inside calmed down.
When I felt my little beating heart course correct, I could not give up. Sharing yoga and creating moments to feel and breathe is like a cellular urge within me. It’s what I’m here to do.
Now, it’s coming from a more grounded place. Now, I feel more like me. Unhurried, curious, humbled and steady.
I’m in awe of how much a body can carry and still soften through resistance. Reorganised and open. What if change is not ripping the past away from us but rather an invitation to expand beyond the known?

Happy Sunday,
When I was 26, I went through a massive burnout that forced change into my life. I was working in business, running marathons and was full of self criticism. I never felt that I was enough and I didn't feel like I belonged to my own life.
What helped me find strength, connection and meaning again was the practice of Yoga. Especially the calm, grounding practices. Yoga Nidra played a huge part helping my nervous system relax so I could finally start to recharge again, and stop the depletion process. The fact that you don't need to have any experience, just an open mind. There is no right or wrong way of practicing.
You can even fall asleep if that's what your body needs. It really is a practice of letting the body and the subconscious mind guide you to where you need to be.
A practice of trusting and surrendering.
A practice of receiving.
Today I am so excited to share this soothing practice with you. It can be practiced anytime, anywhere you feel comfortable, as a rescue remedy for your nervous system.
Just so you know - I wish I could give you the Yoga Nidra without ads (as soon as we hit 1k subscribers I have access to change that).
Here's your Yoga Nidra for Nervous system reset:
Big hug!

Today I’m down with a cold 🤧 (sitting still in AC after a sweaty run is no bueno.) So with plenty of time for home treatment, I wanted to share my favourite immunity point. Works for acupressure too, massage in clockwise circles.
It’s called Stomach 36, or “Leg Three Miles” (Zu San Li) in TCM, one of the most used points for boosting immunity and supporting digestion, found on the lower leg.
To find it: four finger-widths below your kneecap, just to the outside of your shin bone. Press into the muscle there. You’ll usually feel a slight tenderness when you’re on the point.
What it really does is strengthen Wei Qi which is our protective energy, connected to the lungs. Ive learned to think of it as a shield or an aura. Living in alignment with our truth strengthens it, while gossip and going against ourselves creates little holes that let imbalance in.
What are your favourite home remedies?
Stay well 🤍

HI friends,
I immediately felt it, that this one is going to be an important journey. We all carry grief, old and new. We all move through sadness, heavy and light. And somehow we keep going, because there is no other way. It's a place that feels indescribably harsh and lonely to navigate. Even though we don't believe it, it does gets better with time. And it lightens when shared.
When I lost my father to brain cancer in 2019, my understanding of grief completely changed. And it changed me. Brought me closer to seeing a glimpse of how we are all connected, through time and space.
I learned that the sadness in my chest will never leave me. Even though it never was and never will be easy, I also opened my eyes to appreciate the connections that are right here, right now: alive. And to experience life as a precious chance. Unpredictable, tender and non-repeatable.
Yoga helped me move though so much of my emotional processing. So I have created a sequence designed to walk you through the energetics of grief. Yin yoga with acupressure based on the wisdom of Traditional Chinese medicine.
Looking forward to share this special practice with you.
September workshop: The alchemy of grief
A Yin yoga journey into the Metal element, the lungs and the Po spirit.
In nature, autumn truly shows us the grace of surrender. We learn that nothings lasts forever as we get to witness the beauty of decay when the leaves turn rusty red before they fall to the ground to fragment back into the soil. The metal element in Chinese Five Element Theory represents the process of shifting from movement and growth to dormancy. From yang to yin.
This season is inviting us to slow down and bring appreciation to the fact that we have a life! A precious, unique, magnificent life.
The Lungs are connected to the emotion of Sadness and grief. Loss and hurt humbles us, teaches us about impermanence. It brings us back to what is deeply, truly valuable to us.
It's the dance and balance between control and savoring life.
Rejecting death vs. valuing life.
The metal element teaches us to live with change and impermanence. It points us back to the courage to live life fully, in the precious coming and going of it all.
With it's durable, malleable and opaque qualities, the Metal element takes us deep into our soul longing: to feel belonging
and a part of our human mystery that leaves no one untouched:
the art of holding on and letting go.
Welcome to a 90- min Yin yoga workshop for the Metal element.
We'll explore the energetics of its related organs according to Traditional Chinese medicine, the lungs and the large intestine as well as the corresponding emotions; sadness and grief.
Weaving theory, acupressure, yin postures and somatic awareness into a practice that supports you to be nourished by your own life.
This workshop will give you:
Three acupoints to work with on your own
A complete Yin sequence that you can return to again and again
Journaling prompts to carry the practice forward
Access to the recording for four weeks
