Chris Karell is a Swiss artist with Congolese-Cameroonian roots, blending alternative R&B, hip-hop, soul and pop into a sound driven by groove, melody and emotional honesty.
Since winning the 2018 m4music Demotape Clinic in the Urban category, Karell has built an independent catalogue spanning releases such as I’m Different When I’m With You, Roses, Fight the Feeling and Picket Fences. His catalogue has accumulated close to 2 million streams, with his music also featured in the Swiss film Love Roulette.
Arriving in Q2 2027, a lover’s tale explores love, identity, connection and the process of becoming. Three more singles are already underway, gradually opening the door to an album that is deeply personal yet universal — a story about the many ways we love, lose, grow and become. As the pieces come together, a lover’s tale promises to be Karell’s most ambitious and revealing body of work yet.
