This is a music video channel named after a mythical beast called "Hodag." People ask, "what's the REAL STORY of the HODAG?"
A Hodag was rumored to stalk Wisconsin's Northwoods in 1890's. #EugeneShepard, from Rhinelander, fueled the flames behind the rumors when he said it killed his white bulldog; but he captured the pre-historic beast with a sponge soaked in chloroform on a cane-pole in 1896.
He named it "Hodag" after his white bulldog. He took the Hodag to County Fairs and charged 5-cents to get a peek. Newspaper stories about the pre-historic beast Shepard captured-alive spread coast-to-coast. But when scientists came to document the creature, Shepard was forced to admit it was a fake made out of animal hides and horns. My hometown has been known as the "Home of the Hodag" ever since.
