Probasi TV is a New York-based IPTV channel dedicated to telling the stories of Bangladeshi communities across the United States and around the world.
Founded and led by Sohel Mahmud, the channel reflects more than three decades of professional journalism. A first-generation broadcast journalist in Bangladesh, he began his career in the late 1980s. After BBC training in 2000, he worked at Ekushey Television, ATN Bangla, RTV, Channel One, and later served as Head of News at Mohona Television.
Since moving to the United States in 2015, Sohel Mahmud has been documenting the lives, achievements, challenges, and success stories of Bangladeshi immigrants while covering issues that matter most to the community.
Every person has a story worth telling.
