The Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (AEPD) began assisting and advocating on behalf of persons with disabilities (PwDs) in 2003 as Vietnam’s regional office for the American-based Survivor Corps and the Landmine Survivors Network, which shared the 1997 Nobel Peace prize for its contribution to the global campaign to ban landmines.
The AEPD is committed to improving the quality of life of PwDs through socio-economic empowerment and access to health care. The AEPD strives towards an inclusive and barrier-free society where PwDs have equal access to opportunities and can reach their full potential.
