I'm Kenzo Morita.

I grew up in a small house outside a rice-farming town in Niigata, raised
mostly by my grandmother and grandfather. They ran that house on habits
nobody ever wrote down — how to keep food from spoiling without a second
fridge, how to warm a room without heating an empty one, how to know a
thing was finished instead of just out of sight.

I live outside Portland, Oregon now. And most of what I watched them do
every day has quietly disappeared from American homes — not because it
stopped working, but because nobody ever made a living teaching it.

That's what I share here: the ordinary Japanese household knowledge I was
raised around, and what it fixes in a house like yours.

Kitchen habits and food storage. Cleaning, room by room. Heating and
cooling without waste. Garden and pests. Home security. Repair and
upkeep. Organisation and storage. Saving money without going without.

Subscribe if you'd rather fix a house than keep buying things for it.
