For over 20 years we have served the Pacific community. Much of this has been focused on equipping Pasifika youth and their families with the skills to navigate life.
At Village Collective we recognise that prevention is better than cure. Our work aligns to the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and as such our efforts align to:
* Building individual skills
* Strengthening community action
* Building healthy public policy
* Create support environments
* Reorient health services
Whilst we started in the Sexual and Reproductive Health sector, our work now is broader. This recognises the determinants of health and how Pasifika live in this day and age. Mental health, well-being, healthy relationships, mentoring, leadership are a few examples of how we work to support our communities.
