Who are we?
Maya CARE has co-ordinators running helplines in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Once a request is made, these co-ordinators connect with the vast network of volunteers and send the best suited volunteer to the senior citizen.
Maya CARE volunteers include college students, homemakers, working professionals and active senior citizens who visit senior citizens in their own homes to provide services. None of us can ever replace a family member. But as professionals struggle to meet the demands of an active work life, each of us at Maya CARE have pledged to make up for their absence with integrity, responsibility and patience.

Remembering Dr Vidya Gokhale | 85th Birth Anniversary
A little girl who topped Maths and won a dance competition had three dreams - to become a doctor, a teacher and a dancer. She fulfilled all three!
Today, we remember Dr Vidya Gokhale (Nov 5, 1941 – April 20, 2021), Co-founder of Maya CARE, on what would have been her 85th birthday.
On her 75th birthday, she donated ₹1 lakh to Maya CARE with a vision to help elders live active lives and enable persons with disabilities to learn and earn.
Today, we are close to achieving our dream of building a world-class accessible training and activity centre.
