Hey family, I'm Dontavious and I'm a Team USA professional high jumper and coach who's helped parents get 20+ athletes committed to universities and earn 100+ scholarships.
I've traveled the world, competed at Olympic Trials, met the 8'0" world record holder, and have trained alongside the top high jumpers on the planet. Although I have achieved in the sport, that success is not the full story.
From the age of 4, I rode the bench in every sport I played and I struggled with confidence and self-worth. I thought I would never achieve anything because I wasn't talented or athletic enough in high school.
In 9th grade I tried high jump for the first time and was able to clear 4'8". Then I jumped 5'10" as a sophomore, 6'3" as a junior, and 7'0" as a senior. Then I committed D1 to Auburn and became one of the best high jumpers in the NCAA. Now I coach high school high jumpers all across the nation while training for the 2028 Olympics and giving them all of my knowledge.
