Wholesale inflation (WPI) for September 2026: 11.39% 📈
• Up from 9.92% in August 2026
• Fuel and power: 25.85% (August: 22.93%)
• WPI food index: 8.66% (August: 7.05%)
Wholesale inflation (WPI) and retail inflation (CPI, 5.54% in September) measure different baskets of prices, so the two numbers can be far apart.
