A little miso goes a long way, melting into the sauce for rich, savoury umami, while doubanjiang adds a gentle kick and Thai basil brings it all to life ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ฅ

You may have noticed I simply switch up the protein, ground beef, tofu, chicken, and it still works every time! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ”ฅ
As long as thereโ€™s plenty of fresh Thai basil, youโ€™re good to go ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Honestly, fried noodles are one of those dishes, you make a big plate, thinking youโ€™ll have leftovers, then somehow thereโ€™s nothing left before you even sit down ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿœ

The best chicken wings in the world, and yes, theyโ€™re BONELESS! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I had to debone every single wing by hand, and that little job alone took me almost 15 minutes! ๐Ÿ˜‚

But once theyโ€™re beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection, and coated in that spicy, savoury Korean BBQ glaze,
suddenly, those 15 minutes feel totally worth it ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Spicy Korean BBQ Chicken Wings ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒถ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Main:
โ€ข Chicken wings, deboned, about ยฝ kg
โ€ข Grated ginger, about 2 tbsp
โ€ข Salt, ยฝ tsp
โ€ข White pepper powder, ยฝ tsp
โ€ข Potato starch, 1 tbsp

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Korean BBQ Sauce:
โ€ข Gochujang (Sing Song), 1 tbsp
โ€ข Garlic, finely minced, 3 cloves
โ€ข Soy sauce (Lee Kum Kee), 1 tbsp
โ€ข Sweet soy sauce for dim sum (Lee Kum Kee), 1 tbsp
โ€ข Rice vinegar (Din Tai Fung), ยฝ tsp
โ€ข Sesame oil (Ottogi), 1 tbsp

Cook the chicken wings any way you like; oven, air fryer, or my favourite dry-sear method in a nonstick skillet.
If youโ€™re using a skillet, keep the heat low and let the chicken slowly render its own fat. No extra oil needed! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

You can enjoy them just the way they are, or wrap them in fresh lettuce, so simple, yet seriously good! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅฌ
Or turn them into a Korean-style spicy chicken burger or chicken wrap; juicy, spicy, savoury, and absolutely packed with flavour ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฏ

Comfort food at its finest ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Skillet Rice Meal with Ginger Miso Glazed Chicken

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Main:
โ€ข 1 whole chicken leg, about 250 g
โ€ข 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
โ€ข 1 tsp white miso (Hikari)
โ€ข 1 tsp sweet soy sauce for dim sum (Lee Kum Kee)

Make sure the skin side is facing down. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป
Cook the chicken gently over low heat, allowing the skin to slowly render its own fat. Let the chicken cook in those natural juices, no extra oil needed. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
This is how you get beautifully rendered, golden skin while keeping the meat juicy and flavorful.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Skillet Rice:
โ€ข 1 cup soaked rice
โ€ข ยฝ to 1 cup water (adjust depending on the rice type)
โ€ข About 1 tbsp shio kombu (Kurakon Wasabi)

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Finish:
โ€ข Fresh chopped green onions
โ€ข Toasted sesame seeds
โ€ข Togarashi

NOTE:
Soak the rice for at least 30 minutes before cooking, longer is even better.
If you're wondering how long my rice is usually soaked, I actually prepare it in advance.

I wash and rinse about 3 cups of dry rice at a time, place it in a glass container filled with water, and store it in the refrigerator.
It stays perfectly fine for up to a week.
During that time, the rice gradually absorbs water and expands. About 3 cups of dry rice will become roughly 4 cups of soaked rice.

That means whenever I want to cook, I can simply scoop out 1 cup of soaked rice and get started right away. Super convenient and a great little time-saver. A small bit of preparation makes homemade meals much easier and faster on busy days๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿš

Mellow, deeply flavorful, and loved by all ages. A subtle blend of spices makes this Japanese beef curry udon wonderfully soothing without being overpowering. Cozy, comforting, and seriously satisfying! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‹

โ€ข 1 medium tomato
โ€ข 500 ml water
โ€ข 1 small pack udon
โ€ข 1 green onion, finely chopped

โ€ข Fermented black beans, about 2 tbsp
โ€ข Sweet soy sauce, 1 tbsp (Lee kum kee)
โ€ข Black vinegar, 1 tbsp (Sauce Co)
